From July 4–7, 2022, a multi-part event will launch a larger exploration into Arthur Erickson’s unbuilt works. We invite you to join us for these events as we celebrate a key success in Vancouver architectural culture.

Unbuilt ERICKSON

July 4–7

Renowned for his award-winning built architecture, Arthur Erickson also amassed an inspiring portfolio of images, drawings and writings related to unbuilt works. From July 4–7, stop by the Vancouver Law Courts Great Hall to view a video presentation of some of Erickson’s unbuilt projects and unique design visions that did not come to fruition.

Young Architects Master class

July 4–5

A two-day master class hosted by the AEF at the Polygon Gallery is available to Grade 9–12 students with an interest in architecture. In an effort to honour Erickson’s commitment to mentorship and education, the master class will take on a laboratorial approach to dissect the present norms of public and private spaces, and challenge the relevance of mobility. Gala + Annual General Meeting

July 7

These above two initiatives will culminate at a lively celebration held on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at the Vancouver Law Courts Great Hall, with food, drinks and a live auction. Registrants for this event will gain complimentary membership, with access to the Annual General Meeting, to be held in conjunction with the gala. Please join us for this very special fundraising evening. Doors open at 6:00 PM, AGM at 6:30 PM.


 For access on the evening of the event: Please arrive only at the 800 Smithe Street entrance. A security guard will give access to the elevator which will take you up to Level 4. Here you can enter the Great Hall from the north side (closest to the statue of Themis).
